At just sixteen years old, everything changed.

Two traumatic head injuries in one week cracked open a hidden world of emotional chaos I didn’t know how to name. The physical pain faded—but the mental and emotional storm raged on. BROKEN is the story of what was shattered… and what finally healed.

The doctors said “post-concussion syndrome,” that migraines might linger.

They didn’t mention the emotional instability.

They didn’t prepare me for the confusion, the depression, or the darkness that would follow.

I went from excelling in school to barely scraping by. I couldn’t focus. I felt detached. According to my mother, my light disappeared—and she wasn’t wrong. It felt like I was living in a one-way glass box. I could see the world, but I couldn’t touch it. Couldn’t connect. Couldn’t feel.

Years passed before I had the language to process what had happened…

And even more time before I could express it.

This painting is that expression.

BROKEN is a visual release—an intimate, vulnerable look at the part of my life that felt buried. It’s where emotional trauma met the beginning of transformation. It’s a painting for the quiet warriors—the ones who look fine on the outside, but carry a storm within.
